Structure of a brake hose
The brake hoses are composed of a special rubber
mixture and a concrete braid that strengthens the hose remarkably, and can also
function as pressure transmitter hose remarkably, can also function as
pressure transmitters.
The brake hoses are subject to the following influences and loads:
·
Mechanical load: movements of articulation and
damping of the vehicle
·
Climatic influences: Heat, cold and ozone
·
External influences: Heat, salts and oil
·
Electro-hydraulic pressure pulses: In hydraulic brake
systems, short
·
pressures of up to 180 bar may arise.
Due to these influences, hoses and brake hoses need
an extraordinary resistance to impulse, they also need strong connection
elements and great stability.
Legal provisions
The minimum requirements regarding the classification,
performance, fixing and connections of brake hoses for vehicles are laid down
in the SAE J 1401, FMVSS 571.106, and ISO8 3996 Standards.
In addition to the manufacturer, the coating must
also be recognizable the specification on which the classification is
based. On the hose there should also be a color-mark or a mark,
engraved on the material, indicating the axial rotation. For this, the
usual thing is that a long white line appears that is visible along the entire
hose. Therefore, in the case of a replacement, only brake hoses that
comply with this standard should be used.
In order to meet our own requirements in terms of
quality and safety, all Hainuo brake hoses far exceed the SAE J1401
specifications.Pagid far exceed the SAE J1401 specifications.
